A North Little Rock man is accused of cutting his brother with a knife during an argument late Sunday night.
James Hopper, 31, is facing charges of second-degree domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance.
North Little Rock police went to Hopper's home in the 500 block of North Olive Street shortly before midnight to investigate a report that Hopper had injured his brother with a knife, according to an arrest report.
A woman who was there told investigators that Hopper and his brother were arguing when Hopper grabbed a knife and cut the brother, the report said. The brother's injuries reportedly included knife lacerations on his leg and head. The severity of the injuries wasn't clear.
Hopper was not at the home when officers arrived, but he was found at Riverfront Park in North Little Rock a short time later. He had blood on his face and shirt, and a marijuana cigarette behind his ear, authorities said.
Hopper remained in the Pulaski County jail Monday with bail not yet set. A preliminary court appearance is set for Tuesday.
