Police have identified two 19-year-old Little Rock men as the victims of a Monday night shooting on South Valentine Street.
The Little Rock Police Department said Chris Stephens and Reginald Winston were both shot shortly before 7:30 p.m. near 2016 S. Valentine St.
Winston was rushed to emergency surgery and was said to be in serious condition Monday night with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.
Stephens, who was reported to have been shot in the arm, told investigators he was with friends at a barbecue when "unknown black males started shooting," according to a Little Rock Police Department report.
Stephens said he "just recalls black clothing and a black handgun" and didn't see a suspect vehicle, the report said. It noted that Stephens "changed his version of events several times."
Police said hospital staff advised that Stephens' wound isn't life-threatening and that Winston will "most likely" survive his injury.
No arrests have been made.
