Arkansas Lt. Gov. Mark Darr says he's trying to correct errors he made on his finance reports after a website questioned hundreds of dollars he had reported spending on fundraising shortly after taking office.
Darr said in a statement issued Thursday that the errors were made on forms reporting the debt that his campaign owed him after his successful 2010 race. Darr is now seeking the Republican nomination for a south Arkansas U.S. House seat.
Darr issued the statement after the Blue Hog Report questioned his campaign spending money in 2011 at restaurants and gas stations that were labeled as fundraisers. The site also reported that Darr called $1,500 spent on Razorbacks tickets a fundraising expense.
Darr did not specify the errors that were made on his forms.
