Warrant amnesty program to begin in Saline County

BENTON — Authorities in central Arkansas' Saline County will launch a warrant amnesty program next week.

Starting Monday, authorities say people holding nonviolent misdemeanor warrants from the Saline County sheriff's office can go to the sheriff's office and receive a court date.

Authorities say the warrant amnesty program will allow those warrant holders to take care of their warrants without the fear of being picked up and held in jail.

The warrant amnesty program ends Sept. 30.
