Little Rock police took reports of 74 burglaries where more than $107,000 in property was taken in a week's time.
The Little Rock Police Department investigated 64 residential burglaries and 10 commercial burglaries reported from Aug. 16 through Thursday, according to preliminary data released daily by the agency. There were 53 residential burglaries and 12 commercial burglaries in the same span a week earlier.

Not all of the break-ins included information about how much property was taken. But those that did totaled $107,017.25 worth of stolen items. A large chunk of that total — $30,000 — was taken in a single burglary where a Volvo S60 was stolen.
The highest concentration of burglaries was in the 72209 zip code, where 19 were reported in the week. Sixteen were reported in the 72204 zip code, 10 in 72205 and seven in 72206.
