A reward offered for information leading to the arrest of the person who fatally shot a driver and then drove off last week in North Little Rock has increased thanks to a big donation.
The North Little Rock Police Department said Friday that a private donation of $5,000 raises the total reward to $11,000 for information leading to an arrest in the killing of 31-year-old Samantha Cass Olson.
Olson, 31, was shot shortly after 7 p.m. Aug. 14 while driving at John F. Kennedy and McCain boulevards with her child in the backseat, police said. The infant wasn't hurt.
The shooter was in a dark maroon 2007 to 2010 Ford F-150 with tinted windows, chrome wheels and a possible chrome bumper. A toolbox or welding box, possibly orange, was in the bed.
After the shooting, the truck traveled westbound on McCain to 47th Street and then turned left on Camp Robinson Road, going south to the I-40 area.
