CLARENDON — The Delta Regional Authority will provide $107,000 to help repair the sewer system in Clarendon.
The system was damaged during flooding of the White River in 2011 and a portion of the sewer line collapsed, causing the roadway above it to sink. The road has been closed.
The funding from the authority will help pay for repairs to the sewer line and to repair the street above it.
The Delta Regional Authority is a federal-state partnership that is congressionally mandated to help create jobs, build communities, and make improve in the 252 counties and parishes of the Delta.
