HOT SPRINGS — A new memorial is in place for an Arkansas native killed in Afghanistan, but it's not easy to find.
The memorial for U.S. Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Adam Brown is at the bottom of Lake Ouachita. A group of scuba divers led the initiative to honor Brown with the memorial, which was placed in the lake last month.
Brown, 36, was killed in 2010 in Afghanistan when he was on his eighth deployment. He was from Hot Springs.
Project coordinator William Stephens told The Sentinel-Record the memorial is known as "Fearless Rock," and includes a plaque with Brown's picture and a summary of his accomplishments.
