A fire in a vacant Little Rock house forced the tenants of a neighboring home to evacuate briefly Wednesday afternoon.
Little Rock Fire Department spokesman Capt. Jason Weaver said authorities were dispatched to a report of a house fire at 4519 W. 22nd St. at 3:45 p.m. Upon arrival, fire crews found a vacant house in flames.
Residents first alerted nearby crews, traveling on foot to the fire station, which Weaver said was "about a block away" from the fire. Once a neighbor told the local crews, Weaver said, department dispatchers began receiving 911 calls about the blaze.
Authorities evacuated tenants of a neighboring house as a precaution, but the fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
