JONESBORO — A judge has set bail at $1,500 for a man accused of taking methamphetamine and digital scales to a Jonesboro court appearance.

District Judge Curt Huckaby ruled Thursday that there was enough evidence to bring 21-year-old Aaron Clark to trial on felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

The Jonesboro Sun reported that Clark had a Wednesday court appearance on an unrelated charge. When he was taken into custody, he was ordered to put his belongings into a plastic bag for safe keeping.

Officials say that Clark included the alleged methamphetamine and digital scales among his effects.

Clark claims the drugs weren't his.
