One in custody, second wanted for questioning in Thanksgiving slaying

A man is in custody and is expected to be charged with capital murder after a regional manhunt led to his arrest in a Thanksgiving killing in Pine Bluff, police said.

Rashune Raglon, 25, who is from the Pine Bluff area, was arrested in Kansas City, Kan., after several interviews and tips led authorities to him in that area, the Pine Bluff Police Department said in a statement. Raglon was arrested in the killing of Dametrick McDaniel, 25, who was found dead early Nov. 29.

McDaniel’s body was found after a neighbor discovered his 3-year-old daughter unattended outside and called police. McDaniel was found inside an apartment in a complex at 2600 S. Beech St. lying in a pool of his own blood, police said.

Police also seek a second man, identified as Jeremy Reed, 22, for questioning in McDaniel's death, according to the statement. Reed is described as black, 5 foot 8 with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen leaving the scene of the crime in a 2003 tan Chevrolet Impala with two other black men.

Raglon will be extradited back to Arkansas after court proceedings, police say. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Reed can call the Pine Bluff Police Department at (870) 730-2090 or (870) 541-5300.
