A forum focused on compressed natural gas in Arkansas is scheduled to be held this week.

The event is scheduled Thursday in North Little Rock and is free and open to the public, but organizers say registration is required at www.ArkansasEnergy.org .

Keynote speakers include Governor Mike Beebe and Charlie Riedl, director of transportation and equipment for America's Natural Gas Alliance.

The forum is sponsored by the Arkansas Energy Office — a division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission — and the Arkansas Oil Marketers Association.

Topics scheduled to be covered include an overview of fuels supply and market demands, alternative fuel vehicle technologies and infrastructure and natural gas vehicle fleet experiences, among others.
