Two girls reported missing in Garland County

Garland County authorities are searching for two missing girls after police say they ran away from their homes recently.

Deputies with the Garland County sheriff’s office are looking for Samantha Littleton, 17, and Emily Simmons, 16, according to a pair of news releases from the department.

Littleton — described as 5 foot 1 and weighing 115 pounds with blue eyes and straight reddish hair — was said to have run away from her grandmother’s residence on Sunday morning. She was last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt, the release states.

Simmons, authorities say, packed some clothes before running away from her mother’s home Saturday night. Simmons is described as standing 5 foot 1 and weighing 122 pounds with blue eyes and straight brown hair. She was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and a black jacket.

It's unclear whether the two cases are related. A call to the sheriff’s office for clarification was not immediately returned.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two girls may call the sheriff’s office at (501) 622-3690 or a 24-hour tip line at (501) 622-3674.
