On the Monday, December 2, 2013, our most beloved husbandand father WARREN EUGENE “GENE” BEASLEY was welcomed into the arms of his precious Savior.

Warren was born on February 10, 1921 to Andrew Stephen and Elnora Beasley of Little Rock. He graduated from Little Rock High School and married his childhood sweetheart, Luella in 1943. He proudly served his Country in the United States Navy in both the 2nd World War and the Korean War. He retired from the Naval Reserve in 1979 after 37 years. After his many years of service in the Navy, he continued to help our military veterans by working at the VA Hospital until he retired.

Warren was a lifelong member of Highland Valley Methodist Church, as were his parents. To his family and all who knew him, he was a gentle man and a gentleman. He will be so greatly missed, he was truly our treasure.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Luella. His son, Alan D. Beasley (Laura), his daughters, Annette Rhodes (Myron), Karen Goodson (Grady) and Lisa Dabous; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leonard Beasley; sisters Katherine Gardner and Carolyn Taegel and granddaughter, Mary Katherine Worrell.

The family would especially like to thank the nurses and staff at Arkansas Hospice, for their compassionate support.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in the Chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300. IRENE COMBS, 94, of Little Rock, Ark., passed from a seriesof heart attacks with complications. She is the youngest of six children blessed by the union of Nicholas and Drucilla Bailey of Arkansas City, Desha County, Ark. She is also the last familymember of the Original Mound Builders of South Eastern Arkansas. She moved to this city in the mid 1940s. Her loving survivors are: one daughter, Chris Eatmon and a host of relatives and loved ones. LAURENS CLARK HARE was born March 13, 1927, deceased November, 30, 2013. Larry was born in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Mildred Clark Hare and Robert Ritzinger Hare. He was the brother of Robert Ritzinger Hare, Jr., and Sally Hare (Fehribach), both deceased.

Larry graduated from Indiana University, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He joined Reader’s Digest magazine in the late 1950s in advertising sales in Detroit. He became head of the Detroit office before becoming the Director of International Sales in 1975. He retired from Reader’s Digest in 1983. He was an accomplished skeet shooter, golfer, artist and an avid reader and piano player.

He has two children from his first marriage, Laurens Tykle Hare (Lorrie Myers), and Laura Andrea Hare Lee (deceased), and two grandchildren, Rebecca Tykle Hare, and Laurens Alexander Hare; plus, three step children, Barbara Walker Rushing (Nolan), Wythe Walker and Bradley Walker (Beth); two step-grandchildren, Rhea Rushing Frans (Kyle) and Bradley Prather Walker, and three step-great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Charlotte and Penelope. He is survived by his second wife, Barbara Walker-Hare.

A private memorial will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 and the ashes interred later in Indianapolis. CLAUDINE MIMMS of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on December 2, 2013. She was born on October 17, 1933, in Wardell, Missouri, the oldest child of the late Claude and Arlee Hankins.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert E.(Bob) Mimms; her son, Larry and wife, Rose and daughter, Pam Ciesielski; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two sisters.

Claudine was a member of Alexander First Baptist Church. She worked at Arkansas Pediatric and Little Rock Children’s Clinic for many years, ending with Dr. Hagler.

BENTON - Charles W. Willfong went to be with the Lord Dec. 2, 2013. He was born Feb. 4, 1944, to William Marion Willfong and Vada Inez Edwards Willfong in Little Rock, Ark.

Charles is survived by seven children; Brad Willfong and wife, Terri, Cindy Cole, Sondra Williams, Danielle Wilks, Tammy Gilbert, Marty Elswick, and Jenny Willfong; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Ozella Willfong and son, Raymond Jr.; and Junior and Rosemary Willfong and their children, Juanita, Bill and Sissy; grandson, Austin Willfong; and son-in-law, Michael Williams.

CABOT - Mary Joyce Goodman 89, of Cabot, Ark., passed awayMonday, Dec. 2, 2013. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Jonesboro, Ark., to William Arvil and Clara Mae (Harris) Brown. Joyce was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot,Ark. She was married for 46 years to the late Earnest Roy (Goodie) Goodman of Bono, Ark. She spent most of her married life as an Air Force military wife living in various parts of the world.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Loren Kelly and Pauline Steele; one granddaughter, Mandy Kersey; one son-in-law, Don Payton; and a great-great-grandson, Robbie Crusinbery.

After they retired from the Air Force, they returned home to Jonesboro, where she worked for Freeze Insurance Agency, she and Goodie moved to Alread, Ark., in December of 1971. Joyce was active in local school and community activities. She was a member of the Alread Extension Homemakers and served as vice president, as president and as treasurer on the county level; she served as president after moving to Clinton in 1992. Joyce relocated to Cabot in May of 2007 to be closer to family members.

She is survived by her son, James W. Goodman (Kay) of Cabot, Ark.; daughters, Linda J. Jobe of Wichita, Kan.; and Lois L. Payton of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers: Kurt Goodman, Travis Goodman, Kelly Jobe Goodman, Justin Smith, Gaylan Smith, Taylor Goodman and Jacob Goodman.

FORREST CITY - Mr. Hollis Lynn Coleman age 83, of Forrest City, Arkansas died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

Mr. Coleman was born March31, 1930 in Waldo, Arkansas. He was the son of P.W. Coleman and Burlie Allison Coleman. Mr. Coleman was retired from South Western Bell as a chief engineer and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Mr. Coleman married Ina Hattie Tipton in 1950 and she preceded him in death in 1991. He is survived by two sons, Keith Coleman and wife Ruby Vanice of Pinellas Park, Florida and Robert L. “Bobby” Coleman and wife Terri of Blytheville; a sister, Gerri Lunsford of Elko, Nevada; a brother, Clyde Coleman of Jonesboro and a special friend Jane Laws of Forrest City. Two grandsons survive him Nick and Kit Coleman along with five step grandchildren, Teresa, Jimmy and Andy Alexander, Cindy Rogers and Desiree Miller. Five step-great-grandchildren also survive him. A son, David Coleman and a brother, Alan Coleman preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at 10 a.m. at the church.

HIGHLAND - Wallace Jackson Stanley, Jr., faithful husband, loving father and dedicated servant of the Lord, was gathered to his eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2013, in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, seven months and 25 days.Known affectionately as “Brother Jack” or “Pastor Stanley” to most, he was a preacher of the gospel for over 50 years, pastoring churches in Texas and Oklahoma during that time.

When his failing health limited his capacity to pastor he relocated to Highland, Arkansas with wife Nancy and special son David where he was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church for the past 13 years. When visitors and church family entered the sanctuary on Sunday mornings, Bro. Jack would be there to greet them with a warm smile and handshake from his wheelchair. What he lacked during these years in physical capacity, he made up for with a great heart of love for his Lord and compassion for his fellow man.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Jackson Stanley, Sr. in 2005 and by his mother, Irma Moreman, in 2010, granddaughter, Esther Gayle Stanley, in 2002 and great-granddaughter, Charity Joy Spray in 2010. He is survived by four sisters, Lana Wimberly of Whitehouse, Texas, Patricia Tuttle of Rogers, Texas and Mary (John Paul) Ray of Cisco, Texas and Margaret Lane of Gilmer, Texas, his wife of 55 years, Nancy of the home, son, Mike (Peggy) of Highland, daughters, Jackie (Jay) Spray of Myron, Arkansas, Elisabeth (Brad) Banks of Owenton, Kentucky, son, David of the home and Joanna (Anthony) Clark of Batesville. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Of Bro. Stanley’s sons, sons-inlaws, grandsons and grandsons-inlaw, eight are preachers, pastors and missionaries. All of his family members serve the Lord with great joy of heart, ever thankful for the path of grace he has led them to follow.

Funeral service will be at today 10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Highland. Officiating will be Mike Stanley, Micaiah Stanley, Brad Banks and Dave Kelley. Phil was the founder and owner of About Vase in Little Rock, Arkansas and was known to have the “Midas Touch”.Phil was also a graduate of Hope High School and The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Cato Banks. He is survived by his parents, Lile and Margie Cato of Hope, Arkansas and two nephews, Jason Banks and his children, Dylan and Keaton of Hope, Arkansas; Eric Banks and wife Michele of Tyler, Texas.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Scott Walters and Rev. David Porterfield officiating in the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Hope, Arkansas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Limuel F. Dixon; daughters, Gloria Jean and Vickey Lynn; son, Ronnie W. Dixon; and sister, Doris Spradlin. WEST MONROE, La. - Funeral Services for Mr. Carl Lee Allison, 80, of West Monroe, La. will beheld at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ with Mr. Mike Kellett officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun,La. under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, La. Mr. Allison was born on June 2, 1933 in Krebs, Okla. and passed away on December 3, 2013 at his residence with his family by his side. Carl loved sports. He received 16 letters from McAllister High School in McAllister, Okla., where he was later inducted into Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Allison attended the University of Oklahoma, where he was a 4 year starter in Football and Baseball. Mr. Allison was drafted by the Chicago Bears and also was offered a contract from the Boston Red Sox. Mr. Carl reinstated the Football Program at Harding University in 1959. In 1970, he helped establish the Whites Ferry Road Church School of Preaching, serving as Director for 22 years.

He is preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Darrin Wesley and Susan Patricia Allison; parents, two sisters and brother. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Barbara Aileen Allison; children, Carla Lee Jeter and husband, Allen; Dirk Allison and wife, Marcy; and Lori Easterly and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Summer Dale and husband, Layton, Brandon Jeter and wife, Ashley, Brittney Patterson and husband, Seth, Allyson Wallace and husband, Michael, Kourtney Free and husband, Mason, Seth Easterly, Drew Easterly, and Christa Martin and husband, Jimmy; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Allison; sister, Geri Mills; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Allison’s grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, Layton Dale, Brandon Jeter, Seth Patterson, Seth Easterly, Drew Easterly, Mason Free, and Jimmy Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Elders of WFR Church. Memorials may be made to the WFR Church World Radio and Relief ministries.
