Pine Bluff double homicide investigated

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a Tuesday night double homicide, an agency spokesman has said.

Officers were called about 8:49 p.m. with a report that shots had been fired in the area of 29th Avenue and Locust Street, Lt. David E. Price said in a statement.

There, police found a red car on Locust, just north of 29th Avenue, with two men inside who, upon further investigation, appeared dead from gunshot wounds, Price said.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley pronounced the driver, Roderick Dolls, 28, at 9:11 p.m. and the passenger, Joseph Campbell, 20, at 9:12 p.m., police said. Dolls and Campbell both lived in Pine Bluff, Price said.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses as they investigate the shooting. Police haven't determined a motive or identified any suspects, Price added.
