Little Rock residents and visitors hoping to participate in the city's annual Big Jingle Jubilee Holiday Parade will have to wait another week as the threat of wintry weather this weekend becomes stronger.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, the parade has been postponed to Dec. 14, a spokesman for the Little Rock Convention and Visitor's Bureau said in a statement Wednesday. A spokesman with the Secretary of State's office told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that a decision on whether the state Capitol will delay its 75th Anniversary Capitol Lighting Ceremony should be made Thursday afternoon.
The parade will begin at 3 p.m. at Second Street and Broadway in downtown Little Rock and proceed to the state Capitol, where traditionally, a lighting ceremony complete with fireworks and entertainment takes place at dusk.
Admission is free.
