The Little Rock Fire Department battled a fire that started in a Little Rock home Friday, Capt. Jason Weaver said.

The residence is located at 2107 S. Ringo St., and the cause of the fire was not immediately known, Weaver said. There was still some fire visible and gray smoke coming from the home's attic shortly after noon, but Weaver said that firefighters "got the bulk of the flames out."

The department started to receive multiple reports about a fire at the residence about 11:18 a.m.

No injuries have been reported in the fire, he said.

An investigation into how the fire began will start once the fire and smoke is cleared out of the residence.

Weaver said the winter weather didn't cause any major problems for the response.

"Slip hazards slow us down just a little bit," he said. "But these are rugged guys. They power through it."
