A burglar broke into a Little Rock high school and made off with more than two dozen iPads worth nearly $13,000, authorities said Wednesday.

Little Rock police say a teacher at Hall High School, 6700 H St., arrived to his classroom Tuesday morning to find a cart that had held 25 iPad 2s open and the tablets gone. A lock that had secured the cart was found cut on the floor and one of the classroom's windows was open, according to a police report.

Police believe the crime occurred just before 11 p.m. Saturday because an alarm sounded then, the report said.

No arrests have been made, but the report says police were attempting to find and interview a student at the school who was overheard talking about the burglary.

The IPad 2s are each valued at $514.93; the total loss came to $12,873.25.
