State highway officials have set a public meeting in Beebe to discuss plans to widen U.S. 64 in White County.
The plan is to expand the highway to four lanes with a center lane, and the work will extend 3.3 miles west of Beebe, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department has said.
The meeting will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Crosspoint Ministries Fellowship Hall, 805 U.S. 64 West in Beebe.
The public may visit anytime during the scheduled hours to ask questions and offer comments, highway officials said. More information is available by calling the Highway Department's Environmental Division at (501) 569-2281.
