Harding soccer complex burglary suspect charged

A Bald Knob man has been charged in last week's burglary of Harding University's soccer complex, authorities said Friday.

The Searcy Police Department said officers were called about 9 a.m. Dec. 4 to the complex over a burglary report. There, they learned that someone had stolen five televisions, worth about $4,700, and created $2,000 worth of door damage, according to a statement from police spokesman Cpl. Steve Hernandez.

Police on Thursday arrested Lekeon Martin, 22, on the basis of evidence left at the scene and an interview with him, Hernandez said. Martin was charged with commercial burglary and is being held at the White County jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
