Little Rock man killed in I-30 wreck

A Little Rock man was killed Monday night in a single-car accident, the Arkansas State Police said.

Robert A. Culpepper, 43, was driving a 2011 BMW west on Interstate 30 at Roosevelt Road about 6:41 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a curb and then a concrete wall, according to a preliminary accident report.

Culpepper was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he died, state police said.

It wasn't clear what caused the wreck; the roads were dry and weather clear at the time, according to the report.

His death marked the 455th on Arkansas roads so far in 2013, according to preliminary state police figures.
