Mountain Home resin maker to add 50 jobs

Epoxyn Products, a maker of resins for laboratory uses, announced Tuesday that it will add 50 jobs as it expands its Mountain Home manufacturing facility.

The company, along with Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, announced the addition at a news conference and in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

De Pere, Wis.-based Epoxyn is part of laboratory furniture maker Hamilton Scientific, which builds laboratory workstations, fume hoods and epoxy resin tops. Epoxyn Products creates resins for epoxy work surfaces, sinks, balance tables, pegboards, fume hood tops and more.

"Epoxyn's success is Mountain Home’s success," Beebe said. "An Arkansas-based company with a good product, combined with a good local workforce, often results in the creation of more jobs and more investment. That's what we're seeing in Baxter County, and hope to see more of throughout Arkansas's manufacturing centers."

Epoxyn's manufacturing facility is at 500 E. 16th St. in Mountain Home.
