LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe is scheduled to take part in an economic development announcement at the state Capitol.

Beebe on Wednesday planned to make the announcement in the governor's conference room at the Capitol. His office did not say what the announcement would be, or what industry it would involve.

The event comes a day after Beebe and state economic development officials announced that Epoxyn Products would expand its Mountain Home operation by hiring 50 new employees and investing $5 million in the expansion. Beebe also recently announced that sites in Saline County and West Memphis are ready to develop major factories, and the state was working to identify similar sites elsewhere.
