Arkansas GOP resets U.S. Sen. Rand Paul visit

HOT SPRINGS — The Republican Party of Arkansas has rescheduled an event in Hot Springs featuring U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky.

The freshman Republican senator was originally scheduled to speak in Hot Springs on Dec. 6, but that event was postponed because of wintry weather in the area. The state party announced Wednesday that Paul will now speak at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

Tickets for the event are available through Ticketmaster.

Paul is the son of former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, a former presidential candidate, and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

The state party also plans to hold its state committee meeting on Feb. 1 at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs.
