A Jacksonville woman was arrested Wednesday after she sent a text message saying she had beat her two young children, authorities said.

Emily Farris, 24, is facing two counts of second-degree domestic battery.

According to a Jacksonville Police Department report, a woman on Saturday reported to police that Farris had sent her a text message that read "I just litterally just beat s*** out these girls i'm done n thry r gone."

The report didn't indicate how serious the injuries to the 4-year-old girls were, but it says officers took photographs of the injuries. The Department of Human Services then took custody of the children, authorities said.

Police say they contacted Farris at work and she turned herself in Wednesday. The report indicates Farris works for the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission in Little Rock.

She remained in the Pulaski County jail Thursday with bail not yet set.
