About 6,000 Entergy customers are without power Saturday afternoon, according to the company's online outage map.
The map showed that 5,956 Arkansans serviced by Entergy were in the dark as of 2:33 p.m. About 1,948 people in Garland County have no power in their homes, which is the highest amount of Entergy customers being without electricity in the state, according to the company.
"Due to the thunderstorms along with the high winds that have and continue to move through the area we are experiencing numerous outages," the website states. "Entergy personnel are working to restore service as quickly as safely possible."
