Santa Claus was wearing fur, to be sure, but the best-looking coats of the evening were sported by several four-footed guests of the Friends of the Animal Village’s first Santa Paws Cocktail Party in partnership with Oxford American magazine. The event took place Dec. 14 at the magazine’s South Main offices in Little Rock.
Guests enjoyed beer and wine, recorded music andhors d’oeuvres, bid on silent auction items and hobnobbed with St. Nick, who was available for photos provided by Bedford Camera & Video.
Highlighting the partywas the announcement of a $100,000 donation from an anonymous donor. The money is to be used for a new quarantine area at the Little Rock Animal Village, a facility at which stray animals are collected, housed and held for rescue, adoption or owner pickup.
