The Arkansas attorney general’s office announced that investigators have arrested a 61-year-old White County man and accused him of possessing child pornography.
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel said Thomas F. Allen of Beebe was arrested Thursday on 30 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. McDaniel said Allen was being held in the White County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
Agents with the attorney general’s Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Allen’s residence and seized two laptop computers, an external hard drive and other electronic evidence. The evidence will be analyzed at the Cyber Crimes Unit Forensic Lab in Little Rock.
An investigation was launched in October when investigators suspected that child pornography was inside Allen’s residence.
