More than 10,000 still without power after storm in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — More than 10,000 electric customers remain without power in Oklahoma following a winter storm that dumped freezing rain and ice on the state.

Oklahoma Gas and Electric reported about 7,600 outages Sunday morning with nearly 5,300 of those in the Oklahoma City area. Public Service Company of Oklahoma reported about 2,800 outages with more than 2,500 of those in the Tulsa metro area.

PSO has said it hopes to have all power restored by Sunday night. OG&E said it's hoping to have power in the Oklahoma City area restored Sunday night and to have customers in northeastern Oklahoma back on line by Monday.

The two utilities had an estimated more than 30,000 outages at the height of the storm that began Friday.
