Christmas comes late for fans of Bret Michaels

It seems like just yesterday Bret Michaels was wooing pretty young things on a reality show and getting knocked unconscious at the Tony Awards. But if the former Poison front man is anything at all, he’s a resilient sucker.

At 50 years old (shocker), he’s still touring, promoting his latest release, Jammin’ With Friends, which includes guest appearances by Michaels’ besties Jimmy Buffett, Edwin McCain, Mark McGrath and Miley Cyrus. And in case there’s any worry about Michaels’ current state of mind, the tour is the Life Rocks Tour, so sounds like everything is coming up (thorny) roses for the guy.

Just two days after Christmas, Michaels will be bouncing from Texas into Juanita’s to entertain post-holiday revelers with what we assume will be a show involving “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” six times and a Santa hat bandana. Kidding. Maybe.

What we do know: Doors open at 8 p.m. with local rock quintet The Revolutioners and local country act Rodge & The Dirt Road Republic opening. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door.

The real Christmas miracle, though, may well be Juanita’s lineup for January. On the bill? A New Year’s Eve Party with Nappy Roots, a chance to see Jamie Lynn Spears for $10 and visits by both Waka Flocka Flame and Eddie Money, who would really be excellent together on a trap remake of “Take Me Home Tonight.” Depending on Money’s take on the Waka/Gucci Mane beef, that is.
