WASHINGTON — A man dressed as Santa Claus at a toy giveaway in southeast Washington, D.C., is recovering after being shot in the back with a pellet gun.
Fire department spokesman Timothy Wilson says the man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting was reported around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at a toy giveaway in the Barry Farm section of the city.
The man's name was not released, and police did not make any immediate arrests.
