Police have charged a man in his brother's fatal shooting that occurred early Christmas morning, the Memphis Police Department said in a statement Thursday.
About 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a shooting report at 5345 Louise Road, according a police department statement.
When officers arrived, they found Nathan Cannon, 52, lying on the floor and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The department's investigation later showed that Cannon's brother, Charles Banks, 56, had shot Cannon, police said.
Police have charged Banks with voluntary manslaughter.
