LR police identify suspect in Christmas Eve shooting

Police have identified a suspect in the Christmas Eve shooting that left a 26-year-old man dead, the Little Rock Police Department said Friday.

Officers are looking for Jamar Jordan, 20, of Little Rock, who is wanted in Austin Burks' killing, police said. Police found Burks suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside a parked car outside a home at 1505 Adams St. on Tuesday, the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette reported.

Jordan was arrested last year in the Aug. 23, 2012, shooting that left a 23-year-old Kiari Riggins in critical condition, and was charged with first-degree battery and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Police describe Jordan as a black man, about 5-foot-6 and about 170 pounds. His last known address is 605 Pine St. in Little Rock.

Police said Jordan should be considered "armed and dangerous." Anyone with information about Jordan is asked to contact detective Brad Silas at (501) 371-4784.
