Kaylon Robinson

Police have arrested a Little Rock teenager in a man's fatal shooting earlier this week, Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said Friday.

Allen said that Kaylon Robinson, 15, turned himself in to officers Tuesday. He was charged with one count of capital murder Thursday afternoon "based on interviews and all of the evidence collected by detectives," Allen said.

Robinson has been taken to Pulaski County jail, where his bond has been set at $75,000 for an additional charge in criminal use of a prohibited weapon, according to the county jail's website.

On Monday, police found Verico Ingram, 26, inside his parked Cadillac Deville that was still running in the 4200 block of West 15th Street after a person had heard three shots and saw two men run from the area.

Ingram was taken to the UAMS Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said at the time that they were looking for two black teenage boys, ages about 16 to 18, wearing dark-colored hoodies and black pants. Information wasn't immediately available on whether police had identified a second suspect.

If he is convicted I wonder what his purported excuse will have been? Generational poverty? Situational poverty? He wanted to be a thug? Massive case of the dumbass?

I'm always intrigued when a kid is charged as an adult. If he were sleeping with his teacher, he'd just be a kid and the teacher would be the adult that should have known better. In this case, he's a kid that is charged as an adult that should have known better. Is he a kid or isn't he?

Agreed, but it's also a double standard.

I was more of thinking of the murder. That debate is over.

How this will be adjudicated is another. in some cases there will always be a double standard, whereas a standard will not be given a chance of choice.

Right. In both cases the kid knew what he was doing but, sometimes he's a kid and sometimes he's an adult. Prosecution just needs an adult to charge, I guess.

I would say fear. Fear can make one do things one would have never thought. That would be good bad and indifferent. Anger also.

i just went back to my old hometown Ft. Smith for a Christmas party; I showed my wife the gallows for her first time. She remarked that "this would sure cut the crime rate down". I wish we could go back to Judge Parker and take care of the crap we have in LR now
