OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities say an off-duty Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper shot and killed a man suspected of trying to rob the trooper at his home.

The Oklahoman newspaper reports the incident happened Friday in Oklahoma City.

Police said the trooper was in his garage with the door open when a man pointed a gun at him and asked for his belongings.
