Couple’s parole session ends in several charges

A couple attending a scheduled meeting with parole officers were arrested Friday in Mountain Home after authorities connected them to a summer theft in Lakeview, according to the Baxter County sheriff’s office and Lakeview police.

Authorities were waiting for Jack Creameans, 47, at the Arkansas Probation and Parole offices. Creameans had been identified as a suspect in the theft of jewelry, guns, power tools and knives from an older couple he worked for, according to the Baxter County sheriff’s office.

At the probation and parole offices, an officer noticed a ring worn by Kimberly Creameans was part of the stolen jewelry, according to the sheriff ’s office. The couple were searched, and officers reported finding a small amount of marijuana on Kimberly Creameans. Officers searching Jack Creameans said they found 1 gram of methamphetamine and a prosthetic penis used to fraudulently pass drug tests.

Authorities reported finding syringes, a digital scale, a glass pipe and a rifle in the Corning couple’s car, as well as a knife stolen from the older couple.

Jack Creameans was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property greater than $1,000. Kimberly Creameans was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by receiving. Additionally, they were each charged with firearm possession by a felon.

Jack and Kimberly Creameans are being held in the Baxter County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond and $25,000 bond, respectively.
