HOLIDAY JAZZ AND FASHION

Jazz Brunch by The Links tees up support for blacks

Rodney Block and the Real Music Lovers brought the jazz and Dillard’s at Park Plaza provided the fashions for the Holiday Jazz Brunch and Fashion Show on Dec. 21 at Chenal Country Club.

The annual event by the Little Rock Chapter of The Links, Inc., began with a silent auction. Guests were welcomed into the ballroom for the brunch by the group’s members, each one sporting a stylish rhinestone Links pin.

Pamela Smith began the program, and a formal welcome was given by chapter president Deborah Frazier. Brunch and music followed the fashion show.

The Links is one of the oldest national volunteer service organizations of women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of blacks and other people of African ancestry, according to the group’s mission statement. The Little Rock chapter was founded in 1956.

Donna Terrell served as event chairman.
