A wreck shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, slows traffic on Cantrell Road near the Interstate 430 North exit in Little Rock.

A Monday morning accident involving an tractor-trailer on Cantrell Road was likely caused by light snow on the road, a Little Rock police officer said.

Little Rock Police Department officer Mark Williams said the wreck occurred about 10:50 a.m. on the Interstate 430 overpass on Cantrell Road.

Williams said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the overpass, which had light snow accumulation on the pavement, when it slowed and started spinning. A tractor-trailer behind the vehicle braked suddenly, causing a Honda Accord to wreck into the back of the tractor-trailer near the I-430 North exit.

Williams said two passengers were in the Honda and three passengers were in the tractor-trailer, but no injuries were reported.

Traffic in the area was slow but moving as of 11:30 a.m.

Blame the dust of snow... But following too close is what causes these types of accidents, regardless of conditions. I speak from experience.

Batt, you are precisely correct. People just don't know to drive safely. They are also distracted by their cell phones.

'Wreck' is a noun, not a verb. Just say it 'ran' into the rear of the tractor-trailer.
