Ole Miss ranks 54th nationally giving up 155.2 yards rushing per game, but the Rebels do average 6.5 tackles for loss per game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH Mississippi: QB Bo Wallace. The senior turned the ball over four times in the Egg Bowl, including a fumble in overtime as the Rebels lost 17-10 to Mississippi State. But Wallace, a Tennessee native playing a short drive from his Giles County home, is third in the SEC averaging 279.9 yards offense per game and also has run for four touchdowns. Georgia Tech: DE Jeremiah Attaochu. The senior is coming off his best game with a career-high four sacks in the loss to Georgia, and he is tied with Greg Gathers for the school record with 31 career sacks. KEY MATCHUP Oregon QB Marcus Mariota vs. the Texas defense. Mariota has put up nearly 4,000 yards of total offense and needs only two scores to break Joey Harrington’s school record for total touchdowns. That’s hardly far-fetched against the Longhorns, which fired its defensive coordinator early in the season and gave up 30 points in a season-ending loss to Baylor with the Big 12 title on the line.

PLAYERS TO WATCH Texas: QB Case McCoy. The senior never had the passing chops of his older brother but can capture an Alamo Bowl win just as Colt McCoy did in 2006. Oregon: CB Ifo Ekpre-Olumu: A possible first-round NFL draft pick, the junior might be playing his final game after being Oregon’s second-leading tackler this season.

NOTEWORTHY Injuries took a major toll on the Longhorns this season, and now they’ll be without more big names because of academic issues. KEY MATCHUP Arizona State defensive tackle Will Sutton, a two-time Associated Press All-American and two-time Pac-12 defensive player of the year against Texas Tech’s uptempo offense that will start either sophomore Michael Brewer or freshman 1 Davis Webb at quarterback. Although Sutton’s four sacks and 11 /2 tackles for loss are fewer than he had last year, he’s arguably the most disruptive interior lineman in the country.

PLAYERS TO WATCH Arizona State: QB Taylor Kelly, who has thrown for 3,510 yards and 28 touchdowns, and rushed for 473 yards and eight touchdowns. Texas Tech: Webb is expected to start after Baker Mayfield announced his intention to transfer and is no longer with the team. Or will it be Brewer? Coach Kliff Kingsbury says he’s notified the QBs but everyone else will have to wait until Monday night to find out. Webb started five straight games and has thrown for 2,315 yards - the same number Mayfield threw for - and 16 touchdowns.

NOTEWORTHY Texas Tech All-America tight end Jace Amaro comes in with 98 catches for 1,240 yards and needs 14 catches and 90 yards to break NCAA single-season records of 111 catches and 1,329 yards receiving for a tight end set by James Casey of Rice in 2008. … Red Raiders are second in the nation with 392 passing yards per game. … ASU RB Marion Grice probably will miss the game with a lower leg injury that kept him out of the loss to Stanford in the Pac-12 championship game.
