Man arrested in NLR hotel robbery

North Little Rock police have arrested a man in the armed robbery last week of a Holiday Inn Express.

Brandon Dale Howard, 31, entered the hotel, 4306 E. McCain Blvd., about 8:15 p.m. Thursday, according to a North Little Rock Police Department report. Howard showed the front-desk worker a black handgun and said, "Give me the money, and if you don't, this is what I'm gonna have to do," the report states.

The worker handed over all the money in the register, and the robber fled in a pickup, according to the report.

Police collected a vehicle description of the robber's truck and possible latent prints, the report states.

North Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said Howard was arrested in the robbery Monday at a home in the Rose City area of North Little Rock and later confessed his involvement.

Howard is currently on parole in Pulaski County after an aggravated-robbery conviction, police said. He is currently being held in the Pulaski County jail on charges including aggravated robbery and theft of property; bail has not been set.
