One dead after two-car accident on Stagecoach Road

LITTLE ROCK An accident at the intersection of Stagecoach and Alexander roads in Little Rock left one man dead Friday afternoon.
According to the Little Rock Police Department, a man driving a brown 1984 Toyota Corolla was northbound on Alexander Road about 4:45 p.m. when he attempted to turn left onto Stagecoach Road and was struck by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The vehicle, a Ford Explorer, was being driven by Donna Maths, 64.
No other information was immediately available, police said. Officials are withholding the name of the deceased until next of kin is notified.

That intersection has been a problem for years and now with the construction, it's horrible. Officials have refused to do anything about it and now someone has lost their life. If officials are too cheap to install a light, maybe they will think the cost of a couple more stop signs--to make the intersection a three-way stop--is worth the next victim's life.

KWP ... You just said it's under construction. What do you think they're doing ... planting daisies? Obviously this guy couldn't judge speed and distance. Or, couldn't see. One more bad driver bites the dust. Now the question is was he too young or too old.
