Research work to shut MacArthur Drive lanes

MacArthur Drive in North Little Rock will undergo lane closures Monday, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials have said.
The alternating lane closures, which the department said are necessarily while crews take core samples from the road for research purposes, will be on MacArthur Drive, also known as Arkansas 365, between Military Road and 37th Street, the department said.
At least one lane will remain open at all times, highway officials added.
The lane closures are set for between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, weather permitting.

I guess this work can't be done on a weekend or at night when there is less traffic.
