— Neal Ronquist, the former publisher of the Russellville Courier, has been named publisher of the Traverse City Record-Eagle.

His appointment was announced Sunday by Henry Bird, a senior vice president of Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., which owns the Record-Eagle.

Ronquist succeeds Al Frattura, who resigned in May.
