Celebrating the lunar new year

As in most celebrations, food plays a prominent role in Chinese New Year celebrations, writes Kelly Brant in Wednesday’s Food section.

Much like the Southern tradition of feasting on black-eyed peas on New Year’s Day, there are some “lucky” foods associated with the lunar new year.

Spring rolls are among those lucky foods.
