— Schools in Hope were locked down for a time Tuesday after a report of a possible gunman on or near the campus of Hope High School.

Officials with the Hope Police Department say authorities searched the campus and didn't find anyone. There were no reports of shots fired or injuries.

Dispatchers in Hope said they were advised shortly after noon that the lockdown had been lifted and that parents were being allowed to pick up their children.

A message left with the assistant police chief was not immediately returned, and no one was available to comment at the high school.
