Two men hurt in southwest Little Rock shooting

LITTLE ROCK — Authorities say two men are expected to survive after being shot in Little Rock late Monday night.
The Little Rock Police Department says Clifford Siglar, 25, and Darren Ledbetter, 42, were shot about 10:30 p.m. in front of 9 Yorkton Drive, which is near Base Line Road and Interstate 30.
A witness told investigators the two victims were talking with two men when they all began fighting. She said she then heard shots fired and saw Siglar and Ledbetter on the ground, bleeding from the head.
Siglar was taken to UAMS Medical Center, and Ledbetter was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Their conditions weren't immediately known, but police described both men's injuries as "non-life threatening."
The gunmen, who are described as black men in their early 20s, fled east from the area. One of the gunmen was said to be about 5-foot-6.
Police say a vehicle and a nearby residence were also shot.

They need to just take a bulldozer and bulldoze down all of Southwest Little Rock. It is nothing but a cesspool of criminals and the police are afraid to go there. Too bad they don't all just shoot themselves. Problem solved!

Jetjohn, bulldozing structures isn't going to change the mindsets of the people. They're going to move elsewhere and continue the same lifestyle. Were you considering bulldozing the people as well? If so, what about people like me? I work hard. I'm a law abiding citizen. I have earned a master's degree. I'm very articulate, but because I wasn't born the right color, haven't been fortunate enough to get into a good paying "token" position, and therefore can only afford to live in Southwest Little Rock, should I be bulldozed as well?

SWLR is another casualty of the Little Rock school system. According to the people that used to live there, before the busing began, it was a thriving middle class area.
