Three Arkansas men convicted in a federal methamphetamine distribution case were sentenced this week, United States Attorney Christopher Thyer announced in a news release Thursday.

U.S. District Judge J. Leon Holmes on Thursday sentenced 38-year-old Michael Meilke of Bradford to 13 1/2 years imprisonment with five years of supervised release for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a federal drug-trafficking offense.

Holmes also sentenced 41-year-old Paul Randall Hussey of North Little Rock to 13 1/2 years with four years of supervised release for possession with intent to deliver more than 50 grams of a methamphetamine mixture.

On Tuesday, Holmes sentenced 27-year-old Jorge Rojas-Olivera of Batesville to 35 years imprisonment and five years supervised release. Rojas-Olivera pleaded guilty in September to count one of the superseding indictment charging him and his co-defendants with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.

The indictment, which charged 22 individuals, is the result of a multi-agency investigation named "Operation Meilke Way."

A mug shot was available for only one of these three, but that one was white and wearing a T-shirt.
