— Three people were killed Sunday morning in a wreck on Arkansas 133 in southeast Arkansas, including a 16-year-old male.

Arkansas State Police say the wreck occurred around 5 a.m., approximately six miles south of Crossett. Police say a 2003 Chevy truck, driven by the 16-year-old from Monroe, La., ran off the left side of the road and hit an embankment, causing the truck to go airborne before hitting a tree.

The police report states all three were pronounced dead at the scene.

44-year-old Gregory Mitchell and 33-year-old Earl Turner, both of Warren, were the passengers who died in the accident.

Police say weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.

According to preliminary figures, the three deaths raise the number of fatalities on Arkansas roads this year to 47, and 15 in February.
