Trash television

By The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

This article was published February 11, 2013 at 11:07 a.m.

Talk about junk on TV.

No, not the quality of the programming. I mean let’s ponder the proliferation of programs about actual junk — antiques, pawn shops, auctioned stuff in storage units, collectible stuff and stuff appraised, Michael Storey writes in Tuesday’s Style section.

If one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, then TV has both covered these days, from American Pickers to Antiques Roadshow, Pawn Stars to Auction Kings.

American Pickers will be filming at undisclosed locations in Arkansas between Wednesday and Feb. 23.

Read tomorrow's Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for full details.
