FAYETTEVILLE Little Rock Hall forward Bobby Portis was named to the roster for the Jordan Brand Classic on Tuesday.
Portis, who signed a letter of intent with the University of Arkansas last November, is one of 22 players who will play in the event April 12 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
The top 11 players in the ESPN 100 were selected to play in the event, including Portis. The senior is currently averaging 20.8 points, 10.9 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game for the Warriors (18-5).
Earlier this month he eclipsed the 1,000-point total for his high school career. Hall, the defending Class 7A state champion, is currently ranked No. 2 in Arkansas 6A.
